In Person Courses

From time to time I will hold 'in person' courses in my local area. These courses will be more about bringing people interested in stretch wear and sewing together than they will be about a saturated lesson in everything there is to know about stretch. As enough local people express an interest I'll hold a course/workshop and we'll each learn how to make the pattern we're after (probably a block) and then get to actually make a garment from it.

Three or four people is probably all we need each time and there's absolutely no charge for the half day workshop ... I'm essentially retired and I do this because I love it and enjoy meeting like minded people interested in sewing with stretch. You will need to bring a small lunch, but tea/coffee is provided. Write to me if you would like to express an interest in the next course in Cairns, Queensland. They will usually be on weekends.

On Line Courses

These work by setting up a chat room and a webcam, although it's not always easy to help you fix problems unless you can also photograph your work. I don't tend to do these anymore because they take three times as long to do the same amount of work. However because I'm on the other side of the world to most of you this is sometimes the only option. Write to me if you would like to try and get a course together on line. I would advocate first reading the website completely.
